Annam Ponni Boiled Rice 1kg ✦ Parboiled short-grain rice from South India 🍚🌾
Description
Annam Ponni Boiled Rice is a traditional short-grain rice variety from South India, named after the Ponni river along which it is cultivated. The grains undergo a parboiling process while still in their husk, which helps them retain more natural nutrients and acquire a characteristic texture and a delicate, cereal-like flavor.
Once cooked, Annam Ponni Boiled Rice becomes soft, slightly sticky, and springy, making it ideal for fermented and steamed dishes in South Indian cuisine. 🍛
